Based on one of Hans Christian Andersen's most beloved stories, Disney's The Little Mermaid Jr. is an enchanting look at the sacrifices we all make for love and acceptance. In a magical underwater kingdom, the beautiful young mermaid, Ariel, longs to leave her ocean home - and her fins - behind and live in the world above. But first, shell have to defy her father, King Triton, make a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula, and convince the handsome Prince Eric that she is the girl with the enchanting voice he has been seeking.

About the Director
Anne Gesling has been at the MWT for 32 years and is a co-founder of the Y.E.S. program. She has directed and/ or music directed over 90 Mainstage productions including: Little Women, The Producers, Legally Blonde, Spamalot, Crazy For You, A Chorus Line, Chicago, The Secret Garden, The Full Monty, Pippin, West Side Story, a number of YE.S. shows including: The Velveteen Rabbit, A Year with Frog and Toad, Aladdin, A Wrinkle In Time, Pinkalicious, Schoolhouse Rock Live!, Freckleface Strawberry, How I Became A Pirate, and The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs, and 22 Annual Youth Productions including: Shrek, Beauty and the Beast, White Christmas, Seussical, A Winter's Tale, Thoroughly Modern Millie, The Pirates of Penzance, and Oklahoma. Anne's greatest pride is in the work she does with the Y.E.S. Program and the Annual Youth Musical here at the MWT. Nothing inspires her more than working with these talented kids. She truly believes that children can achieve anything they set their minds to, and being a part of that process is the greatest joy of her life.
