Synopsis
Into the Woods is a musical that intertwines the plots of several classic fairy tales, including Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Rapunzel. The story follows a Baker and his Wife who desperately want to have a child but are cursed by a Witch. To break the curse, they must venture into the woods to find four specific items: a cow as white as milk, a cape as red as blood, hair as yellow as corn, and a slipper as pure as gold.
As they journey through the woods, they encounter familiar characters from the fairy tales, each pursuing their own wishes and facing the consequences of their actions. The characters' paths intersect, leading to unexpected twists and turns as they confront moral dilemmas and the consequences of their desires.
Into the Woods explores themes of wish fulfillment, the consequences of actions, and the importance of community and family. It delves into the complexities of life and the blurred lines between good and evil, all set to a memorable Stephen Sondheim score.

In our continued attempts to offer opportunities to those often
ignored by theater history, we understand that many official casting descriptions are either limiting or traditionally cast in preferenced ways that ignore the multitudes of performers that shine on our stages.
Because of this, we encourage and are actively seeking performers of ANY and ALL identities, including performers with disabilities, performers presenting of all races and ethnicities, and those who identify as transgender, non-binary, and gender non-conforming.
Please let us know if you have any questions, concerns, or if there are any accommodations we can provide.
